Lexi Greene, a not so ordinary girl with the ability to hear the thoughts everyone around never predicted that her life could get any stranger, she thought wrong. After almost drowning Lexi wakes up to find her appearances have slightly enhanced, not to mention the fact that she remembers glowing during her tussle with the waves before she was knocked out. After learning that she was almost abducted during the time she was passed out, Lexi is scared for her life. Adding in the complicated mess of boys, oh and of course, undiscovered powers that control her more than she controls them, equal a quite stressed out Lexi. After falling for deception at almost ever corner, Lexi learns that she is actually being hunted because the power she yields. In order to protect herself and those she loves, Lexi must remember memories long lost and be carful about whom she trusts.

I enjoyed the story line but feel like the book didn't meet its potential. I wanted more of a foundation/build involved in the romance aspect of the novel. Additionally., the  book seamed to much about finding out who the Watcher was rather than getting the "bad guys" off her tail. Also, the beginning changes of Lexi glowing and the change of her appearance were completely forgotten for the rest of the book, so much so I almost completely forgot about them.

I feel that there is much room for this series to improve in future books and would love to see more about her deep relationship Lexi had with her adoptive parents, particularly her bond with her father and cars. I also hope to see Lexi search for her mothers journal to control her powers and learn about her people. As stated before, I see lots of potential for future books.
