First off let it be know that Sarah J. Maas is my favorite author. I first started reading her work a week after A Throne of Glass came out and have been following her ever since. I was very excited when I heard she was making another series (Throne of Glass and A Court of Thorns and Roses are separate series), Sarah did not disappoint.
Maas spins a tale of faerie lore when Feyre is coerced into the Fey world by a beast threating her life. She later realizes he is a powerful faerie named Tamlin who's actions she cannot seem to understand. Feyre is a bit more concerned with learning to stay alive in a world that turns one's instincts against them to deduce the reasons for his actions, actions that will transform her life again.
As always, Sarah J. Maas transports readers though her wonderful uses of imagery and keeps you on the edge of you seat right with the characters. Each time something new is revealed connections to past events are realized making the book so entirely real even in the realm of fantasy.
Don't miss the second installment A Court of Mist and Fury out May 3rd 2016
